The deadline for foal applications is 30th September. Forms are available from the Secretary.

18th July

Exports to Josef Erreger, Austria.

Ian Young – colt Arradoul Bowmore.

Robert Hamilton – fillies Claddagh Sadie and Clachanry Meg.

Also exported by Robert Hamilton – colt bred by Robert Aitken & Sons, now registered as a stallion by Dr Schumann.

Paul Bedford – fillies Bratwell Britney and Lisachrin lady Jayne.

Also exported by Paul and Matthew Bedford the stallion Cawood Sir Charles.

The Clydesdale Horse Society Winter Fair 2010

Stirling Agricultural Centre, Saturday 27th November.

Judge : Matthew Carrick, Littleward.

Clydesdale judging will commence at 11am.

21st April

A Dinner Dance was held on 17th April 2010 in Stirling. The occasion was to honour the achievements as a breeder of Charles Carrick of Littleward. The evening was organized by John Adamson, Ron Black and Neil Christie of Area 9 of the Clydesdale Horse Society.



Charles Carrick, Hon President of the Clydesdale Horse Society is presented with a painting of his yearling filly, Littleward Orange Blossom by fellow Hon President, Tom W Clark of Muirton.

Littleward Orange Blossom was Champion Foal at the CHS Winter Fair in November. Charles won the Foal Championship for the fifth time on that day.

18th April

At the AGM on 17th April 2010, Mr William Clark of Muirton was elected as President of the Society.

Mrs Jackie Marshall of Howgillside was elected as Vice-President.

15th March

Congratulations to the Clark Family of Muirton Stud, Madderty, Crieff on winning the Cawdor Cup at the National Stallion Show on 6th March with Muirton Sabre.

This two year old colt was bred in Ireland by Alex Brown of Ballycastle.

The colt is by Bratlach Dillon out of Lagavar Beauty who is a daughter of Greendykes Benjie.

Female Champion was Hillhouse Millie owned and bred by Jim and Linzi Kennedy.

Gelding Champion went to Lyndsay Adamson’ s gelding Bruno.

A huge crowd of enthusiasts enjoyed the show. A stunning feature was the class of yearling fillies which filled the ring.

The winner of the class and Reserve Female Champion was Charlie Carrick’s Littleward Orange Blossom by Mollinhillhead Celebrity.
