The Clydesdale Horse Society Winter Fair 2019
Kindly Sponsored in part by the Legacy of the late Gerald Fallowes
The Clydesdale Horse Society Winter Fair will be held this year at Lanark Agricultural Centre on Saturday 30 November 2019
We hope that as is the case in most years this show will showcase the best that there is in Clydesdales including the best foals born in 2019. It always promises to be a great occasion where we can all meet, catch up and see some great horses in action.
Judging will commence at 10.45am with a class for novices.
Judging of classes 2 onwards will begin no earlier than 11am.
Entry will be £7 and will include a catalogue.
For those of you interested in showing you will find in the next section of the website a copy of the 2019 Schedule and Entry Form – please get your entries and payment to the Secretary by the stated date and time of 12 noon on 23rd October 2019, to ensure they get into our printed catalogue. Late entries will not be accepted. If you know of anyone who is not on email but who may be interested, please pass this information on to them.
The event will also be advertised in the Scottish Farmer in early October.
Our 2019 Grand Raffle will be drawn at 1pm on 30th November, so get those raffle tickets back to us in good time.
This year it will cost us in excess of £6,000, to put on the Winter Fair and £3,000 of this cost is covered by the Gerald Fallowes Trust. If you feel able to sponsor us in any way, please send your cheques or payment to the Secretary at the address below or contact the Secretary for details of our bank account into which sponsorship can be paid. All sponsorships received by 23rd October 2019 will be recognised in the Catalogue on the day.
If you would like to advertise in our catalogue the cost is £50 for a full page and £25 for a half page advert. Again, contact the Secretary.
We are also having an area to accommodate trade stands and if you would like to come along and display your ‘wares’ on a stand the cost will be £25 for the day.
And don’t forget that the
Society will have a full range of merchandise available for sale (including 2020 calendars) so come along with
some petty cash to buy that Christmas present on the day.
It promises to be a great day. Looking forward to seeing you there
