Deceased Horses

When your horse dies it's passport must be sent to the Secretary for cancellation.  Once cancelled the Secretary will retain the passport in keeping with the statutory retention limits set out in passport legislation and regulations.

It is possible, on application, for your deceased horse cancelled passport to be returned to you for safekeeping.  Some people like to do this for reasons of sentimentality.
