The Clydesdale Horse Society Winter Fair 2023

The Clydesdale Horse Society Winter Fair will be held this year at Lanark Agricultural Centre (highland Hall) on Saturday 18th  November 2023

We hope that as is the case in most years this show will showcase the best that there is in Clydesdales including the best foals born in 2023.  It always promises to be a great occasion where we can all meet, catch up again after the excesses and restrictions of Covid and see some great horses in action.

Judging will commence at 10.45am with a class for novices.  

Judging of classes 2 onwards will begin no earlier than 11am.

Watch out for an extra class this year - a Junior Young Handler class for 8 -11 year olds

Entry to the show will be £7 and will include a catalogue. This year the showing will take place in the much warmer Highland Hall within the market precincts.

For those of you interested in showing you will find below the 2023 Schedule and Entry Form – please get your entries and payment to the Secretary by the stated date and time to ensure they get into our printed catalogue. Late entries will not be accepted.  If you know of anyone who is not on email but who may be interested, please pass this information on to them.

Our 2023 Grand Raffle will be drawn at 1pm on 18th November, so get those raffle tickets back to us in good time.

This year it will cost us in excess of £6,000, to put on the Winter Fair and £3,000 of this cost is covered by the Gerald Fallowes Trust.  If you feel able to sponsor us in any way, please send your cheques or payment to the Secretary at the address below or contact the Secretary for details of our bank account into which sponsorship can be paid.  All sponsorships received by 5th November 2023 will be recognised in the Catalogue on the day.

If you would like to advertise in our catalogue the cost is £50 for a full page and £25 for a half page advert.  Again, contact the Secretary. Adverts preferably by Jpeg or PDF.

If you would like a trade stand on the day the cost is £25.
